Literature Text

A gallant Galehot,
he said,
'I'm going
to conjure
Romantic
poets in
verses as
shades
from the
dead.'

Dipping quill
in rivulets
and
budding
boreal
blooms,
he sang
a soul
of craven moors,
ragged-perched
rooks and
winter-end
thaws;

eglantine issued
in floral-fleet
inks
on the
page.
A fancy, perhaps? Homeric allusion, too, since we recently finished the so-called 'Book of the Dead' in The Odyssey. :)

This part totally got me, for some reason. I can't explain.
