Necklace of street-lights,
wave-thundering loud
I shall sing
for this
time –
firefly pendants,
those jittering
lucky ones,
trapped
minute-bright
to career,
topaz-washed
in the
night;
to guide,
moon-forgetful,
glyph strokes
in the
glow,
where only
the travellers
flung from
precipitous
presents
dare
go.

A quick poem... I'm always fascinated by insects that hover in beams of light, and momentarily glow.
